This page contains historical news, updates, and reminders for the Wimble website.

Note: This site is constantly under improvement. Some functions of the previous Wimble site are not currently available. We thank you for your patience while we continue to make new features available. There are some known bugs – for example, the kingdom or principality information for Counties and Viscounties did not entirely transfer correctly. We are working to resolve these issues, but please report any errors to wimble@outlandsheralds.org.

Wimble releases some upgrades and a new feature! There's a new option in the Awards section for "By Group" - this will list information about awards for the kingdom and each of the baronies in the Outlands, separated by group. There's also an option for each of the Awards sections for "ALL" - that'll give you a list of all the awards of the Kingdom of the Outlands and all of its baronies. (Note, this doesn't include awards for the Principality of the Outlands.)

I've also added a tracking table of events and court reports. At this time, it only goes back to August, but has events on the calendar for several months. I started it a couple weeks ago, so it may be out of date at the moment - I wanted to get it up and available, and I'll be getting it updated in the next couple days.

Wimble releases a new feature - search! Many types of searches are already effectively implemented via the listings by Person, by Award, by Local Group, by Known Alias, and so on. This search feature does, however, add a Name search that checks both main names and aliases, and also adds a Date search.

If there's a new type of search you're interested in, or a report you're interested in, let Wimble know. Do be aware that, by Society Electronic Publication Policy, I can't make legal names publicly available. Wimble's catching up on a backlog from moving to a new place, but I still want to hear your ideas.

Wimble released a new feature to coincide with the release of the new Wharrow site (http://wharrow.outlandsheralds.org/). Now, the thumbnail image of registered armory is a link to the corresponding armory in the Roll of Arms. On the Roll of Arms site, when looking at an person's armory, their name is a link to their page here on the Wimble site. Look for more integrated features in the future.

Wimble posted a reminder about Court reports:

Court reports should be sent to the nobility who hosted the court, Wimble, the Kingdom Scribe, the local herald or the court herald (whichever one you aren't), and a courtesy copy to White Stag. Wimble can be reached at wimble 'at' outlandsheralds 'dot' org, and White Stag at whitestag 'at' outlandsheralds 'dot' org. Other updates and corrections should be sent to the Wimble Herald (please allow time for Wimble to doublecheck).

When sending court reports, updates, or corrections, please include as much of the following as possible:

• Name of event and DATE of award (especially important for multi-day events)
• SCA and legal names of the recipient
• Award name
• Home branch of recipient
• If a scroll was given, if it was a promissory or final, and the name of the scribe(s)
• Membership number, if available. (we use this as a cross-reference.)
