Constitution for the

Order of Courage

I.          There shall exist in the Kingdom of the Outlands an award, known as the Order of Courage, which may be given by the Crown to that person who has distinguished him/herself through extraordinary feats of valor on the fields of foreign wars .

II.         The holders of this award shall be styled as Companions of the Order of Courage and shall be entitled to place the initials C.O.C. after their names. The members of the Order shall collectively be styled as the Vanguard of Courage.

III.         Subject to the College of Arms, the insignia of the Order shall consist of a medallion bearing the badge of the Order: "Or, in saltire a stag's attire gules and a sword sable." The recipients of this award shall also receive a gold hood.

IV.        Arms and precedence:

            A.         The award shall carry with it a Grant of Arms. Companions of the order shall take precedence before simple Grants of Arms.

B.         If the award is given to a person who bears an award carrying higher precedence than given above, his/her precedence shall remain unchanged.

C.        If the award is given to a person who has previously received a Grant of Arms, his/her precedence shall date from his/her election to the Order.

V.         Only one person shall be admitted to the Order each reign.

VI.        Amendments to this constitution shall be made by the Crown of the Outlands.
